LA Mother Arrested for Kidnapping Son

Los Angeles, CA, USA Police said Lupe Lara, and Carlos Calderon handcuffed and shackled Lara's 19-year-old son while he was sleeping. Investigators said the couple then loaded the teen into a van and headed to a rehab center in Ensenada, Mexico.

The tough love plan unraveled during a stop at a gas station. The teen asked to use the restroom but instead called police. The couple was arrested minutes later and the teen was set free.
