The Mariposa County District Attorney announced that criminal charges have been filed against Davin Mosher on Thursday for starting the Telegraph Fire.
The fire burned more than 3,400 hundred acres and destroyed 30 homes in Mariposa County back July.
Authorities said the fire started when Mosher was target shooting in an area of dry grass near the Merced River.
