The suspect was driving this Camaro, which you can see lost its passenger side door in the collision. Witnesses say the Camaro was speeding when it hit one car, and careened around chestnut until it crashed into two more cars as well, including one coming out of a grocery store parking lot.
Three people went to the hospital, but nobody was critically injured.
Sgt. John Monpere with Fresno Police Dept. said "It's a busy parking lot, a lot of people out on a Sunday morning, mother's day, so we're very grateful it was not a fatal."
The crash did trap one man inside his car when his front end basically ended up in the driver's seat.
Emergency crews had to break off parts of his car to get him out. The suspect ran away from the scene after the accident.
