It's Election Day for Some Valley Residents

November 3, 2009 12:00:00 AM PST
It's Election Day here in the Valley, but voters aren't rushing to cast their ballots. By 9:30 Tuesday morning, not a single voter had stopped by the County Elections Office in downtown Fresno to cast a vote.

Voters throughout Fresno County are deciding several school board races, as well as seats on community college boards and water irrigation districts.

Meanwhile in the North Valley, Merced residents will vote on a new Mayor along with new City Council members.

Gustine voters will elect two new school board members and decide whether or not the city should raise its sales tax

In the South Valley, Visalia voters there will decide who should be on their City Council.

In the local foothills, Springville residents will decide on a bond proposition for the Springville Union Elementary School District.

Stay with ABC30.com for the latest election results. Coverage begins Tuesday night at 8:00pm.
