Man Stabbed to Death in San Joaquin

The victim died inside the doorway of the Los Amigos market. Store employees say they found the man bleeding on the floor. He'd apparently been stabbed several times. Witnesses said they think the attacker chased the victim from a gas station across the street. The stabbing may have taken place in the parking lot.

The town's Mayor, Ruby Dhaliwal says it's a tragedy, "San Joaquin prides itself on having the lowest crime rate in Fresno County. It is shocking to have something like this happen right in the heart of town."

Sheriff's Investigators are looking for a suspect and a motive in this brutal stabbing. The victim's name has not been released.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Department has identified a suspect in the slaying. He is Carlos Rodriguez. He is wanted for Robbery and questioning for possible involvement in the stabbing.
