The town's Mayor, Ruby Dhaliwal says it's a tragedy, "San Joaquin prides itself on having the lowest crime rate in Fresno County. It is shocking to have something like this happen right in the heart of town."
Sheriff's Investigators are looking for a suspect and a motive in this brutal stabbing. The victim's name has not been released.
The Fresno County Sheriff's Department has identified a suspect in the slaying. He is Carlos Rodriguez. He is wanted for Robbery and questioning for possible involvement in the stabbing.
Rodriguez may be driving a red Chevy Silverado CA. license plate of 8A71226. If seen contact Fresno County Sheriff's dispatch at 488-3111.
