PG&E officials say people should prepare for outages during the storms. The strong winds expected late Wednesday could cause serious power problems.
"As a result of the grounds being saturated, when the winds pick up, that increases the likelihood of vegetation getting knocked over, potentially into power lines," said PG&E Spokesperson Jeff Smith.
Thursdays downed lines also created a scary situation for a woman trapped in her S.U.V., when a power line fell on the vehicle. She did the right thing by staying inside the vehicle until fire and utility crews arrived.
