Accusations of Sexual Harassment at Fresno's Chaffee Zoo

FRESNO, Calif. Cummings' attorney spoke with Action News and partly blamed former Zoo Director Lewis Greene for approving retaliation against the woman. Greene resigned in March nearly three months after the former grounds keeper filed her lawsuit.

Attorney Amanda Newell said, "What's really interesting is Ms. Cummings was given a suspension from work, an unpaid suspension because she complained to a manager at the Zoo that her complaints were not taken seriously. Mr. Greene signed off on that discipline."

In a phone interview, current Zoo Director Scott Barton told Action News, "It's really important to me and those who work at the zoo to make the zoo a great place to work. We have policies and procedures in place to make it a respectful and responsible place to work."

Attorneys for the zoo have denied all wrong doing.
