Student Claims Visalia Police Officer Sexually Assaulted Him

FRESNO, Calif.

A Mount Whitney High School graduate claims then-Visalia police officer Bryan Pinto sexually assaulted him while he was a seventeen-year-old student last year.

Pinto told Action News last year -- he did not have a sexual relationship with the teenager.

During the investigation -- Pinto was placed on administrative leave and has since left the police department.

City officials say over the last several months -- they've conducted their own investigation and believe the claims are not true.

"We've talked to a number of people and I've not been able to come up with any evidence so far to substantiate the allegations in the complaint," said Leonard Herr, City Attorney.

Both parties are expected in court later this year to further discuss the litigation.

We tried contacting the plaintiff's attorney. He did not return our calls.
