The incident began in downtown Fresno where police spotted the man driving the wrong way on Fulton Street.
Police say he failed to pull over, so officers followed him on to the highway, where they say he took a turn too fast and crashed at the 168 off ramp.
Police say the car he was driving was stolen and the suspect has four outstanding warrants.
