Madera shooting sends man to the hospital

MADERA, Calif.

The man was found about 9:30 p.m. Monday night at a home on Lacreta and Jericho in Northeast Madera.

Police say the 25-year-old man was shot in the side with a shotgun. People who live in the area say they're surprised a shooting happened in their neighborhood.

An ambulance took the victim to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with life-threatening injuries.
