It happened around 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the Peers Lorentzen Funeral Home at H Street and West Kern in the City of Tulare.

Several people were hit by what appears to be the spray from a shotgun shell. Witnesses said that at least three people were struck during the shooting. Police say the injuries are all minor.

The shooting happened during a Rosary service for a Tulare teenager who was stabbed more than two months ago.

Bryson Ochoa was 17-years-old at the time. He was stabbed in a gas station parking lot during a fight. Ochoa was in the hospital fighting for his life, until he died two weeks ago.

The person who stabbed the teen has not yet been arrested.

A man who lives across the street said this is a dangerous neighborhood, and that his family is used to gunfire.

As of Sunday night, Police have not yet said if Ochoa's death is a homicide, and the person responsible for the shooting has not yet been arrested either.

The family plans to continue with the final part of their funeral services Monday morning.

Tulare Police say they are planning extra patrols during the funeral.
