The city will open four sites, The Ted C. Wills, Mosqueda, Frank H. Ball and Pinedale Community Centers to all city residents from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting Tuesday. Fresno residents can receive a free ride to the centers on any FAX bus.
Many residents are beating the heat with some free fun. Crowds packed the splash area at Todd Beamer Park in Northeast Fresno Monday. It is one of three free splash parks operated by the city.
Fresno also operates four public pools that remain closed right now because of the city's budget crisis. But the city tells Action News that they hope to have them open by the end of the week.
The four cooling center locations include:
Frank H. Ball on 760 Mayor in Southwest Fresno
Ted C. Wills center at 770 N. San pablo in Central Fresno
Mosqueda center on 4670 E. Butler in Southeast Fresno
Pinedale Community Center at 7170 N. San pablo in North Fresno
Sierra Vista Mall at Clovis and Shaw Ave.

Again some cities are providing free bus service to cooling centers but residents must indicate that they are traveling to a cooling center.
