A first-of-its-kind event at the Fresno Fairgrounds will help hundreds of people find work.
Martin Hernandez was first in line, a little before 5 a.m., "I showed up real early because I wanted to show initiative to work. I've been to other job interviews where there's only 200 positions and 1,000 people. And I tend to think that the luckier people are the ones who show up earlier."
Many people will be hired on the spot, but the fair will continue hiring up until the fair starts in October.
The job fair starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13th, and it lasts until 2 p.m. at the Commerce Building at the fairgrounds.
Applicants need to bring a Social Security card, a photo I.D., and a good attitude.
