The witnesses told officers the men were looking for something specific inside the house. When the suspects weren't able to find what they were looking for they left.
A short time later, police stopped three men in a car. They say one person matched the description of one of the suspects. The passenger got out and ran from the vehicle. Police spent several hours searching for him, with no success. The two other men were detained.
Investigators say at this point, they don't know if there is a connection between the men in the car and the home invasion. But they say the home invasion was not a random act.
