Vacant house catches fire in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

The Fresno Fire Department says when they arrived, flames were coming out of the home. But the fire proved difficult to fight because the home was boarded up, making it hard for crews to get inside.

Firefighters say this isn't the first time they've been called to the home.

"We've had numberous incients at this home. The last call we had was in February when we had a fire. Aparently the home has been vacant for some time according to neighbors transients come in and out of the home," Batt. Chief, Fresno Fire Dept. Rich Cabral said.

No one was injured in the fire and fire officials say there were no transients in the home when they arrived. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
