Polar bear kills British teen in Norway

FRESNO, California

The group was with the British schools exploring society. The attack took place in an area of Norway which is home to about 24-hundred people and 3,000 polar bears.

While the bears don't usually hunt humans -- experts say they can attack if they are hungry.

One of the camp members shot and killed the bear.

The last fatal polar bear attack in that area happened in 1995.
