Five Alarm Bash celebrates life in memory of 9/11

FRESNO, Calif.

Proceeds raised during the Five Alarm Bash will go toward the Fresno Fire Chiefs Foundation which works year round to help burn victims and keep kids safe.

The fundraiser included live music and a silent auction as well as a special appearance by former New York City Fireman Andy Isolano. Isolano now calls the Valley home and said his fallen friends would have liked tonight's tribute. "I was asked about tonight being called a Five Alarm Bash, and I told the guys it needed to be a bash because that's what firefighters are all about. They're larger than life and we're celebrating life tonight."

Tables at the event were decorated with helmets the foundation donates to Valley children, as part of its "helmets are cool" program. The event also included a flag presentation.
