Four Weeks to Fitness: Introducing the participants

FRESNO, Calif.

Every Wednesday morning on AM Live, you'll join three people hoping to change their lives forever through fitness and nutrition.

John Goodfellow, Isabel Salinas and David Peck are all looking to lose weight during Action News AM Live's Four Weeks To Fitness series in November.

John Goodfellow owns an occupational therapy center in Northwest Fresno.

John struggles with food, and admits eating healthy will be his biggest challenge.

"I've been trying to lose weight my whole life. And instead of really going on some like fad diet, I've probably been on every fad diet there is. I'm really trying to eat a lot of food. But eating a lot of food that has all the right nutrients. Has the right calorie count and so I'm not hungry and I'm not starving," he said.

Isabel Salinas works as a bookkeeper in Central Fresno.

She has bad knees and shoulder problems limiting what she can do physically.

Isabel's exercise plan will consist of things anyone can accomplish in their living room.

The Dinuba native is trying to get into wedding shape with a date set for next October.

"I'm really looking forward to being able to go shopping for my dress and being able to buy a dress and not special order a dress, so that's exciting in itself," she said.

David Peck is a banker who is constantly balancing work and working out.

David's toughest hurdle is finding a diet and exercise routine that fits his busy lifestyle.

"Energy level really," he said. "Just at the end of the day I'd like to try to get my workouts in the morning but I'm here early enough to just can't get around to doing it. And by the time I get home at the end of the day I'm on the tired side. But I think part of it's an excuse so."

Under the watchful eye of AM Live fitness expert Rhonda Murphy, John, Isabel and David will each undergo a lifestyle change, and Action News AM Live will be there every step of the way.
