The local "Youth For Ron Paul" group collected signatures Wednesday night hoping to convince the candidate to make a Valley visit.
"We were thinking that he may come here early May, but there's a possibility to come here towards the end of may right before the June 5th primary. So we're collecting signatures to petition him to come here to Fresno State," said Kurtis Willey with the Ron Paul campaign.
Mitt Romney is the presumed GOP presidential nominee, but Ron Paul has been quietly picking up a number of delegates in several caucus states. Supporters hope Paul will gain a major voice or even pull an upset at this summer's Republican convention.
