Spitzer's Sound Stage in Central Fresno is liquidating its inventory after the owner decided it was time to retire.
General Manager Jerry Liles has been with the store since the beginning, and says the closure has been a long time coming. "We had been talking about it for the last four years on and off. But to actually hear it and know it was going to happen was earth shaking."
The store has 14 employees and seven independent music teachers who offer lessons there. Liles says several people have made offers to purchase the store, but nothing has been finalized.
