No one arrested in Central Fresno standoff

People in a Central Fresno neighborhood are back in their homes after a police stand off.

Officers say they were looking for two men at an apartment complex near Yosemite and Belmont. Authorities say the men are Bulldog Gang members with outstanding warrants. Officers used a bullhorn to call the men out of an apartment, but they say neither of the people who came out were the wanted suspects.

Police said they decided to call off the search for the suspect for the safety of the suspect and the officers. "We will come back a different day and try to chase him down on those warrants", said Lt. Tom Rowe with the Fresno Police Department.

Some homes were evacuated during the police action. Authorities also closed off several streets in the area, but those roads are now back open this morning.

No one was injured in the incident.
