Mangoes from Mexico are facing tighter inspections

The salmonella outbreak linked to Mexican mangoes has passed, but the U.S.D.A. is increasing the risk rating of the fruit to "high."

The new rating means there will be increased inspections at U.S. ports of entry. The National Mango Board says American buyers will have to wait longer to get access to the fruit.

The board says the additional inspections are most likely become the new norm for mangoes.
