The well-known house where America's tallest living and lighted Christmas tree is usually lit, has changed owners. The decorations the neighborhood once used, sold off at a yard sale.
But no one wants a dark Christmas. So there's a grassroots effort to bring the holiday spirit back, and some residents will put up their own decorations.
They're also refurbishing the historic lampposts that span a mile. They'll be painted next week and should be finished by Thanksgiving.
