ATM machine stolen in smash-n-grab burglary in Madera County

MADERA COUNTY, Calif.

In the video, you can see a Chevy pickup truck, pulled up to the front of a mini-mart off Highway 41 and Avenue 15.

One suspect jumped out of the bed of the truck and threw an object through the store window. Two masked men then made their way inside by pushing away store items, including a heavy beverage cooler.

While one suspect tried pulling the ATM machine from the ground, the other suspect tilted the cooler. Both crooks then grabbed the ATM machine, placed it in the back of their truck, and drove off.

Investigators were left puzzled as to how this could happen right off busy Highway 41.

Erica Stuart said, "That's a major thoroughfare, nobody saw anything going by?"

Investigators hope the surveillance video helps nab the three suspects.

If you recognize the individuals, you're urged to call the Madera County Sheriff's Department.

In the video, Action News reporter Carlos Saucedo has complete coverage on the story.
