It happened around midnight in the area of Ninth and Turner. Fresno fire officials say as many as 14 people were shooting at power poles, causing some power lines to fall onto the street and nearby homes. Some of those lines were active and caused some plants to catch on fire.
The incident also caused a power outage and prompted a short evacuation. No one was hurt.
