The gay-straight alliance network hosted a number of workshops and classes Saturday.
The group's mission is to create safer schools and raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues.
Organizers say the majority of those who attended were 13 to 18 years old. Espii Gutierrez of GSA Network said, "holding it in and covering yourself up on who you truly are kind of gets really depressing and mental health issues start occurring by doing what we do here we are kind of defeating that and more youth can have a voice."
Organizers say about 200 people attended the event.
