In the deal, Brown agreed to two misdemeanor charges of domestic battery and criminal threats, and will take a year-long batterers treatment class. The judge set Brown's probation at 3-years and ordered him to take a parenting class.

Brown faced felony domestic violence charges after he was accused of knocking his wife over in June. He resigned his job as Fresno's fire chief earlier this month.
