Investigators responded to the motel at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday for a domestic dispute. When they arrived, officers found a man floating in the pool.
At this point, investigators say the two incidents appear to be unrelated. "We have nothing on scene for us to believe this is a homicide. So at this time we're going to classify this as a suspicious death. We've got some more work to do out here. We may end up with an accidental occurrence but at this point we still running all that down," said Lt. Don Gross, Fresno Police Department.
The victim has not been identified.
