The USDA says Foster Farms has submitted and implemented immediate, substantive changes to their slaughter and processing to allow for continued operations. The USDA will continue intensified sampling for at least the next 90 days.
A salmonella outbreak was linked to three of Foster Farms' Valley facilities. 278 people became sick from salmonella, five of them in Fresno.
Foster Farms says they have been working for two months to add increased food safety controls.

FSIS inspectors will verify that these changes are being implemented in a continuous and ongoing basis. Additionally the agency will continue intensified sampling for at least the next 90 days.
