Big box retailers may have dominated Black Friday, but locally owned business got a boost during Small Business Saturday.

Smaller stores like Raizana Teas in Downtown Fresno are the focus for Small Business Saturday. The idea is to get exposure for retailers and other businesses that may not get as much attention, even though locally owned stores play an important role in the community.

"It really helps the local economy because a higher percentage of the revenue stays within your local community," Pablo Orozco with Raizana Teas said.

Raizana usually doesn't get much traffic on Saturdays, but the owners said they were relatively busy Saturday.

The Tower District consignment store Bebe O's also saw an uptick for small business Saturday.
