Authorities arrested 42-year-old Rodney Harp in Dinuba Tuesday night. Harp was taken into custody without incident and was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries to his left arm. He was later booked into Visalia Main Jail.

Late Monday night, deputies were tipped off that someone was stealing gas from a property. Deputies say the suspect started ramming his car into a sheriff deputy's vehicle, and that's what prompted the shooting.

The suspect's car was located just two miles down from where the officer-involved shooting occurred.

Authorities say several rounds were fired. The deputies were not hurt.
