Bowling ball with swastika thrown at Madera family's car

Madera County Sheriff's deputies say a ball marked with a swastika, profanity and racial slurs was thrown at a family's car.

A bowling ball marked with an ugly message has set off a hate crime investigation in the North Valley.

Madera County Sheriff's deputies say a ball marked with a swastika, profanity and racial slurs was thrown at the car of an Hispanic family.

The vehicle was parked in the driveway of a home on Avenue 17, between North Lake Street and Road 26.

Investigators say the car was vandalized sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.

There are no reports of any injuries. No arrests have been made.
