CHP officer rescues Chihuahua from interstate

A California Highway Patrol officer rescued a Chihuahua from Interstate 680 in Contra Costa County on Friday.

A Chihuahua has survived a very dangerous situation.

A California Highway Patrol officer rescued the little dog from Interstate 680 in Contra Costa County on Friday. The pup somehow ended up on top of the median.

The Chihuahua is now being cared for at the Animal Services shelter in Martinez.
