2 dead, 1 in critical condition after shooting outside market in Planada, deputies say

PLANADA, Calif. (KFSN) -- Right now investigators are combing through surveillance cameras at the El Campo Market.

They are hoping it will provide some key clues as to what took place and of course lead them to the suspect responsible for this shooting, but as mentioned the triple shooting has taken the lives of two men.

"I saw her, the victim's mother, she was on the floor. I wasn't working here, one of my employees was working. My husband was panicked because we never seen something like that, in 29 years, especially this corner," said owner Naurattan Sidhu.

Just last week the Merced County Sheriff's Office executed a compliance check on gang members.

They made arrests and confiscated weapons and drugs. At this time investigators do not know if the shooting is gang-related.

One was pronounced dead at the scene the other died at the hospital. The third victim was flown to a hospital in Modesto and is expected to survive.
