2 dogs killed, 2 people are left homeless after house fire in East Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people are without a home after a fire broke out in East Central Fresno.

The fire department received reports about a fire near Iowa and Winery just after 12:30 Tuesday afternoon. When they arrived, firefighters were told there were two dogs trapped inside.

Even though first responders managed to get the animals out of the house, they did not survive.

The cause is still under investigation.
