Witnesses continue to testify against former FUSD bus driver accused of child pornography and molestation
Two detectives testifying against 54-year-old Jeffrey Sipes were cross-examined by his attorney Thursday.

Fresno, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two detectives testifying against 54-year-old Jeffrey Sipes were cross-examined by his attorney Thursday. The former Fresno Unified bus driver is accused of possessing child pornography and molesting his former stepdaughter over the course of 14 years.

Sipe's attorney claimed family members of the stepdaughter also accused a grandmother and cousin of molesting the victim, and those detectives may have led a biased investigation only focusing on Sipes.

But the detective says there was no reason to further investigate others because the victim only identified one person of molesting her as a child from the ages of 2 to 16--Jeffrey Sipes

Family members claim to have made reports of the sexual abuse by Sipes--the defense attorney wanted to make it clear no evidence of those reports has been found.

Now two witnesses, in this case, have stated they reported to Mr. Sipes to law enforcement and their reports are not credible if we follow law enforcement databases.

But a judge ruled there is still enough evidence from the victim's report, bringing those molestation charges from the years 1991 to 1997 to trial--along with possessing over 600 images of child pornography.

"32 video files depicted children engaging in sexual activity, said

Detectives say he is already admitted to watching child pornography, saying it became like a drug addiction.

"Ages depicted in videos as young as 5 years old--as old as 15 years old," said

Sipes claims he has never sought out little girls, and there are no reports made he has ever had inappropriate contact with any Fresno Unified students on his bus route.

He is scheduled for arraignment September 12th. Sipes is being held on $430,000 bail.
