Evenflo Car Seat Recall

Tests by Evenflo and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show that models 390, 391, 534, 552 of the car seat could potentially become separated from its base in high impact side collisions similar to those in the tests.

Approximately one million of the recalled car seats were made since April, 2005. In a statement released by the company, Evenflo says parents should continue to use their seats and there is no need to return it to retailers.

Evenflo is providing current owners of these models with a free supplemental dual-hook fastener, which keeps the seat attached to the base in the event of such collisions, the company said in an announcement.

For more information on the fasteners, call Evenflo at 1-800-356-2229 between 8 AM and 5 PM EST or visit www.evenflo.com/Discovery
