Hanford Ethanol Plant Moves Forward

A new ethanol plant is one step closer to reality in the South ValleyThe plant would be built in an empty lot in Hanford. Tuesday, the Hanford City Council unanimously denied an appeal of the proposed plant. Instead, the Council certified the environmental impact report and approved the conditional use permit.

Great Valley Ethanol wants to build an ethanol production plant that would produce 63-million gallons of ethanol a year. The company must now submit their plans to the city for review.
