Fresno Graduation Rate is Higher than Average

Fresno A new report released by "America's Promise Alliance" found 17 of the nation's 50 largest cities had high school graduation rates lower than 50% percent.

Fresno is just slightly higher than the average.

Mesa, Arizona has the highest graduation rate at 77% percent for students in the Mesa Unified School District.

70% percent of the students in San Jose Unified finish high school.

Fresno came in 23rd, with a graduation rate of 57% percent. That's 6% percent higher than the average.

The city with the lowest graduation rate, Detroit, has a graduation rate of 24% percent.
