Consequences for Company after Farm Worker Death

6/4/2008 The white coffins honored Vasquez Jimenez and her unborn child. The pregnant 17-year old died while picking grapes in 100-degree heat last month.

Investigators say her employer, Merced Farm Labor, may have denied Jiminez proper access to shade and water.

The state labor commissioner has started the process to revoke the company's license, in part because the company failed to correct previous worker safety violations.
