There's more tension in tinseltown. Hollywood producers say they've made their best and final offer to the actor's union...but there's not agreement, yet.Actors continue to work under their current contract which expired at 12:01 Tuesday morning.

The Screen Actors Guild wants a bigger payout for its members work in new media, such as DVD's and the internet. But the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers said the offer Monday night is worth more than $250 million dollars.

Producers will meet with guild representatives Tuesday afternoon to explain the offer, but say they won't consider counter-proposals.
