Paris police say they have taken 25 people in for questioning after a scuffle with unruly youths in a park near the Eiffel Tower. Paris police headquarters says thousands of high school students had been celebrating the end of their senior year final exams in the Champ de Mars park early this morning when a group of troublemakers disrupted the festivities.

The police say a gang of 200 to 300 youths threw cans and bottles at officers and broke windows and stole perfume from a nearby store. Two officers were injured.

Police say 20 of the 25 people initially taken in for questioning remain in custody.
