Air Stagnation Plagues the Valley

The Valley's air quality is as worse as it's been in years as smoke from surrounding fires funnels in and sits over the Valley. Here's a look from the Fresno Skycam. As you can see, a thick layer of smoke is hanging over downtown Fresno and really, the rest of the central Valley.

The Valley Air District issued an air stagnation advisory this Friday morning. It just expired, but the Air District is saying that the air will probably only get worse as the day goes on.

Every county in the central Valley is affected by this smoke.
