Meth Funding Cuts

Fresno, CA, USA The state is reducing the money that counties get to combat the meth trade by eight million dollars.

In Fresno County, the cuts mean a meth task force will lose a third of its state funding.

Sheriff Margaret Mims says this means she will have to reorganize her narcotics teams.

Sheriff Mims says the county has made great strides in cracking down on meth manufacturing. She says these cuts won't change the department's commitment to battling the drug.
