Jack Hanna, the renowned animal expert whose latest wildlife series won him an Emmy this year spent the day meeting and greeting donors and visitors as he toured what he calls "a jewel in the zoo world."
He had high praise for the community that was willing to tax itself to improve and explained it.
Jack Hanna said, "There's a lot going here. This is the kind of zoo as a young man I wanted to be the zoo director of ... It's going to be exciting to come back here again and see what happens. A lot of zoos don't have this."
Later Thursday night Jack Hanna will appear at Fresno's Memorial Auditorium with a few of his furry friends … he's slated to talk about his life and adventures in the wild, around the world.
