Some parents who support it are choosing to pull their children out of class for a day. They did it last week as a form of protest, and they may do it again Monday.
George Melendez, CTA Board Member, says "It's unfortunate because kids should not be kept out of school because parents disagree with a position the California Teachers Association has taken."
Melendez says every election year the group decides to support propositions they feel are vital to the state of California.
