But the firefighters say they were in the right place at the right time to notice the danger. Nick Martino, Fresno Fire Department, says "We discovered it this morning during our workout and initiated the hazardous situation ourselves."
The firefighters called code enforcement who will call a contractor to remove the rest of the overhang.
