Bill Woodward, "if you said aw that wasn't bad they'd look at each other like geez, what's Woodward drinking? You have to be honest that's what KMJ listeners have come to expect. "That comes I think from being a fan. It's probably like the guy sitting in the stands thinking the same thing. You have to really be honest when you're doing this"
On Senior Day, Woodward was joined by Jim Sweeney and presented with a number-37 jersey - signifying his years behind the mike
Bill called the Bulldogs N-I-T win in 1983. "Of course the nit was good. Some football games. I loved it when they beat SC. I loved it when they almost beat SC, and the work never ends."
Pat Hill appreciates Bill Woodward's loyalty to the Bulldog Athletic Program. "It's great to be able to see someone leave a profession on a high note. I'm really happy for him. He's done a great job here and we'll miss him. We'll miss him because he's been a big part of Bulldog Athletics"
For Bill Woodward there has always another game to prepare for ... another season but to look forward to ... but not this time. "After 37 years you stop and think there's not gonna be another one. There might be a bowl game but there's not gonna be another one. This is it. It really brings closure to the whole thing"
