The s.u.v. hit him and he died from the impact. Four people got hurt in the s.u.v. and it bounced into another car, injuring seven more people.
The highway patrol marked the streets where it all happened. One of the cars banged into an electrical box. Officers said everybody was wearing seat belts, and that's probably why the 11 victims survived the accident.
