Hook Family Memorial Service

Clovis, CA /*Kaitlyn*/, /*Rachel*/ and /*Mackenzie*/ Hook died last month when the plane flown by the girls' father crashed outside Reno. Their father ... Commander /*Luther Hook*/ ... also died in the crash.

Kaitlyn, Rachel and Mckenzies friends sang, played music and read poems to honor the girls. Their mother even sang a special song for her three youngest girls.

For the Clark Concert Choir the music went on, even as some of Rachel Hook's friends wiped away tears. The girl's mother, Brenda Hook even managed to gather the strength to sing with her nieces the song, I Will Rise.

During a memorial focused on the great love of life the sisters shared, a single turquoise urn bearing their remains sat next to a bible and their picture.

Kaitlyn's honors English class worked together to write a poem for her.

Mary Ester Lopez said, "In her own words for her English portfolio. Kaitlyn wrote take care of what you have while you have it, because you'll never know how much you miss it when it's gone. These are wise words Kaitlyn and we miss you more than words can say."

The stage, filled with flowers and oversized pictures displayed some of their favorite things, Mackenzie's bike, Rachel's violin, and Kaitlyn's soccer ball.

To honor Mackenzie, loved ones sang a popular hit.

After the service the girls mother said through grief she is finding comfort in a promise.

/*Brenda Hook*/ said, "Though I am saddened in my heart, and my heart cries out for them, I have the peace and comfort in knowing that they are with Jesus and one day I can hopefully be there and talk to Jesus and Abraham and be before god."

During the eulogy the girls older sister told the crowd of about 500 ... Rachel had just written and recorded her first song. Sadly it was on her computer, which was with her when the plane crashed.
